We would like to welcome you to attend the 14th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists.
This year’s theme is 'Anatomy and Modern Imaging’:
Clarifying in-vivo clinical anatomy is essential for safe clinical practice. We have a duty to teach accurate evidence-based anatomy to the next generation of clinicians. Today, modern in-vivo imaging techniques are becoming more affordable and accessible and offer unparalleled access to investigate undisturbed anatomy in relatively large numbers of individuals. These techniques also highlight the importance of normal anatomical variation and have opened up previously neglected areas of research, such as paediatric clinical anatomy.
At this year's ANZACA conference, we aim to explore the growing field of anatomical research employing modern imaging techniques and also emphasise the increasing need to empploy these technologies in anatomical education worldwide.
The conference will provide an excellent opportunity for networking, sharing ideas and learning something new about clinical anatomy and anatomy education.
Conference attendees are expected from a multitude of disciplines, including doctors, physiotherapists, anatomists, educators and both undergraduate and graduate students. The conference will be held at the University of Auckland Medical School, New Zealand.
A range of accommodation is available for the duration of the conference: University student halls (Huia and O'Rorke) are offered as official accommodation options. Alternatively guests may choose to book their own accommodation from a wide range of hotels and hostels available within the city center and close to the university campuses.
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Monday 4th December. The Welcome Event will be held in the evening of the 4th at the Old Government House at City Campus, where a drinks and canape reception will be waiting for our guests.
The Conference Dinner will be held on Tuesday 5th at the Fale Pasifika at the main city campus on Wynyard street.
