13th ANZACA Conference - Canberra, ACT, Australia
7-9 December 2016
We would like to welcome you to attend the 13th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists.
This year’s theme 'Artful Anatomy’ reflects the rich and diverse synergistic relationship between anatomy and the visual arts that influences the illustration of the human body for anatomists and the study of anatomy by artists. This is even more relevant in the current day with the anatomy of the human body illustrated in such a wide variety of media including books, models and electronic resources. The conference will provide an excellent opportunity for networking, sharing ideas and learning something new about clinical anatomy and anatomy education.
Conference attendees are expected from a multitude of disciplines, including doctors, physiotherapists, anatomists, educators and both undergraduate and graduate students. The conference will be organised by Dr Alexandra Webb and Assoc Prof Krisztina Valter from the Australian National University Medical School. The conference will be held at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia.
A range of accommodation is available at the University and nearby in the City.
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Wednesday 7th December. The Welcome Event includes an ‘Anatomy and Art’ Tour at the National Gallery of Australia followed by an opportunity to catch up with colleagues at a Cocktail Reception held in the National Gallery of Australia Sculpture Garden Restaurant. The Conference Dinner will be held at the National Museum of Australia adjacent to Lake Burley Griffin.
